About The Business

About Financial Services in Hong Kong

Deloitte in Hong Kong specializes in serving both global and local financial services clients, including commercial and investment banks, insurance companies and other financial services corporations. As part of the initiative to grow Deloitte’s Financial Services business in Hong Kong, the firm is looking for a qualified relationship managers / account managers to drive and manage the relationship development activities for Deloitte’s priority financial services clients. Specifically, we are looking for one client account manager to join the team to support our Insurance Leadership team on the development of our Insurance client relationships.

Work you’ll do

Account Strategy and Planning

  • Develop the account strategy and revenue plan with the Lead Client Service Partner and service line partners
  • Identify new Deloitte service offerings and propositions which would be of interest to the client
  • Set up and manage the senior executive relationship action plans and client relationship maps
  • Maintain an understanding of the issues on the client’s agenda and share information and key updates with the account team
  • Work with the regional partners / directors to ensure that Deloitte are realizing all opportunities in Hong Kong and across Asia Pacific

Account Management

  • Actively coordinate account team governance including meetings, agendas, actions, risks & issues and manage internal communication for the account
  • Actively undertake effective reporting at executive and management levels, internally and externally
  • Monitor the pipeline of wins/losses and opportunities and keep Salesforce.com accurate and up to date
  • Provide proposal support on large and significant opportunities and coach the proposal team in using the right client language and positioning to increase bid success
  • Work closely with Partners from across the business to create a unified face to market and a consistent Deloitte client experience

Client relationship management

  • Develop a good working relationship with procurement and actively provide information and reporting on current engagements and total spend
  • Be the key client relationship contact for Hong Kong and direct enquiries and potential opportunities to SMEs within the firm
  • Work together with other account managers globally to develop a joined up approach and a consistent client experience

Networking and Sharing

  • Work with Partners to ensure that key project wins and content is being captured and shared
  • Work with other account managers to ensure ideas which have been deployed successfully at one project/account are cascaded to other accounts
  • Liaise closely with Marketing to ensure that appropriate marketing and thought leadership collateral is being taken to the client
  • Actively share and participate in the global account manager network and community

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • 3 – 5 years + experience
  • Proven Relationship / Account Management experience
  • Financial Services Industry knowledge
  • Insurance market knowledge preferred
  • Self-starter, independent thinker and resourceful
  • Strong people and networking skills
  • Comfortable with working with both Deloitte partners and senior client contacts
  • Strong project management and project delivery experience
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of different businesses
  • Ability to communicate, influence and present at all levels of business
  • Very committed with a high level of drive, initiative and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work with a team and to motivate others
