Job Description

  • Build a reporting team with around 3 to 6 headcounts at Foshan center to take up part of the regional reporting process including regulatory reporting and financial reporting *Establish sustainable reporting process, controls, basis of preparation and procedural manuals for the identified reporting process at Foshan center *Navigate as appropriate through all relevant departments including Finance, IT and HR to build and establish the reporting team and the respective reporting process *Strong awareness of any potential risk and issue in building a new team at a new location including compliance with all relevant regulatory policies and internal procedures *Ensure high quality of the reporting outputs with correctness and completeness as well as adhere all the reporting deadlines and respective controls *Ensure consistency in process and quality across teams located at Hong Kong, Foshan and India *Create an environment in which all team members are aware that they can identity, raise and resolve all kind of issues encountered during reporting process *Identify any opportunities on process improvement or control robustness and after which achieve accordingly with other stakeholders *Liaise as appropriate with all counterparties including senior management, regulatory authorities (Hong Kong and Mainland China if necessary), internal and external auditors.

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree or above and professionally qualified accountant with significant post-qualified experience in regulatory and financial reporting *Proven experience in project management and process implementation *Demonstrated change management skills, particularly those involving process re-engineering, system implementation and team management *High mobility in working location *Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese *Ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior management, Finance and non-Finance staff and external parties including regulators *Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management including the ability to liaise, manage and work with different counterparties with different backgrounds *Proven leadership experience of a small to medium sized team *Work independently and take initiative with self-motivation *Creative and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to identify key risk and mitigating controls, combined with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to work under pressure
