Job Description


Handle large and complex claims types in Liability and Property, mainly in lead caacity. Ensure claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines. Utilize third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will…

  • to handle claims (mainly in Liability and Property) according to authority limits, prescribed claims guidelines and agreed service standard

1.1 to receive claim notice and register it in system timely

1.2 to review policy coverage

1.3 to set up and update reserves in system

1.4 to review and follow up all outstanding cases regularly

1.5 to complete claim adjustment independently or working with loss adjusters/surveyors

1.6 to process claim payments

1.7 to pursue recovery if possible to keep the claim costs to the minimum

1.8 to monitor the performance of service providers

1.9 to refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and

materials as appropriate

1.10 claims liaison with other Allianz group companies

  • Collaboration

2.1 to report major losses to the management

2.2 to discuss with IT to generate required reports

2.3 to prepare and share claim history/analysis reports with clients, brokers and underwriters

2.4 To proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Claims handling process, e.g. Underwriting and Operations

2.5 To develop and maintain relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters)

2.6 to support the Claims Head in the management of the claims operation to achieve operational efficiency and support the advancement of the team and company objectives.

Key Requirements/Skills

  • Bachelor degree or above preferably in Law other appropriate discipline &/or insurance professional qualification
  • 10 years or above experience in general insurance claim handling mainly in international insurance companies
  • Good at English reading, speaking and writing
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated with high integrity
  • Willing to work under pressure as a team
  • Strong sense of claims marketing
